Welcome to the Physical Plant

The basic purpose of the Physical Plant Department is to create an aesthetically pleasing, environmentally sound, and energy efficient physical environment for the campus community. We operate and maintain the Physical Plant segment of this environment (buildings and grounds), and we also provide auxiliary services as needed to facilitate and support the distinctive role of Appalachian State University (ASU) as a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina system. In all our actions, we are guided by the goals, objectives, and criteria established by the ASU administration and the State of North Carolina.
